Crew for packing, loading and unloading were very professional, friendly and well-mannered. Packing itself was very well done, items were carefully wrapped and padded and packing went much quicker than anticipated, as did loading and unloading. Storage between loading and unloading was a great help. However, no company is perfect and here is why we couldn’t give 5 stars:*in many instances packers put items from different rooms in one box just to fill the box, which resulted in having to open boxes from every room to find all items from one room-for example kitchen items were packed with guest room items. This happened with the majority of the boxes, not all kitchen items together, not all bathroom items together etc etc. Makes unpacking and putting away a challenge at best.*some boxes marked as one room but were from a different room*prepacked plastic totes ended up with heavy items packed on top, so several were crushed and cracked and had to be thrown outBut even with the above mentioned issues, this was the easiest and most damage free move we’ve ever made...and we’ve moved 6 times in the past 13 years-even one move from China to NC. Coastal Carriers were the highest of the 3 estimates we got, but you get what you pay for with movers. I’d recommend them to anyone. They’re as close to perfect as any company can be.

We were so very impressed with the four guys who did our packing, loaded the truck, transported our belongings, unloaded, and set up all of our furniture into our new home.Truly, these guys were some of the hardest working young man we have ever met.The problem arose when they were leaving our old home And presented us with a bill that did not match our initial quote. Keep in mind that their local manager came out and did a walk-through with us and then sent us a quote. We discussed what we would pack and what we wanted them to pack.That same night we were emailed a quote, but it did not match our discussion.We contacted them immediately and they made the corrections. On the day of moving, when presented with a different bill, The manager was unable to pull up the initial quote, nor were we. It had vanished. After questioning this with the manager, he said he would visit with us on the day the truck was unloaded and we agreed to meet with the manager. We were amazed to see that the only manner of record keeping it seemed was a legal yellow pad with numbers and notes from top to bottom and side to side. We could not make any sense of it. Although I would hire any of the 4 guys who did the packing, I would have a hard time going with this company again because of their lack of professional record keeping, lack of professionalism Of their manager, and his inability to do an accurate walk-through and quote. We did finally reach an agreement although we still are not certain that we were not over charged. Had the walk-through been more accurate and matched the quotes, there would have been no reason for them to jack up the price at the end. It is a shame, but we could only shake our heads in disbelief.

Brandon was fantastic in the care and attention he gave to our furniture. He carefully wrapped each piece, paying special attention to the furniture pieces that we indicated had strong sentimental or monetary value. Chris, on the other hand, was in too much of a hurry to get us packed, moved, and him off. He packed our belonging on the truck, damaged our refrigerator, broke our outdoor storage container, and shoved the door open so hard at our new residence that he damaged the wall.
